Oxidial/Methelyne Blue If Taking Cyproheptadine

Hello. After copiously reading about methelyne blue here and elsewhere and about oxidial here, I am eager to try oxidial.

However, I have been taking 1mg of cyproheptadine before bed longstanding -- really has helped with horrid allergies and of course it has the side benefit of being anti-seretonin; I am uncertain regarding how that anti-seretonin aspect has effected me as I am taking it primarily as an anti-histamine for allergies; but I was happy that it might provide the anti-sertonin fringe benefit.

So, other than the fact that MB for some, even in low doses, can raise seretonin, is there any issue with adding it when one is taking cypro? MIght it even help with any danger of seretonin symptoms of MB if the two are taken together? If there is an undesirable interaction between the two, could this be alleviated by taking them spaced apart-- perhaps MB only during the day and cypro at night? If so, how many hours of spacing would be needed between the two? thanks!

If you're not taking large amounts of Methylene blue the MAO-i effect isn't that strong. I think you just need to try to not consume too much tryptophan or tyramine:
