Xylitol - sourced from Birch tree bark or corn cobs

I want to use this as a mouth rinse. My local health food store has one made from Non-GMO corn cobs, and claims it is better than those made from Birch tree bark.

As far as I know it is a sugar naturally found in berries, but obviously these are not a cost effective source.

As with all supplements I am wondering about contaminants that are either introduced in the purification process, or failed to be removed from the source material.

Does anyone have any ideas/thoughts on which may be the cleaner option overall?

Hi,
if the provider doesn't give any information on the way to produce, how could we give an advice which one is better. Need a purity certificate for heavy metals too.
Ok for rincing mouth but xylithol, as erythritol recently, have been marked as nocive for microbiote.
