Katty,

This is the one I tried:

http://www.amazon.com/Max-B-ND-Premier- ... B0062MCRZG

I don't have anything negative to say. I think it's a good source, but values may not be as high as you want. Claims are that in the "natural state" such as this, dosage needed isn't as high. I guess you would have to decide for yourself. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

I am currently not supplementing iodine. You might want to check out the moderator's comments above.
Feel free to discuss what ever you like. I'm much more relaxed and at peace these days!

Thanks for the response.
And sorry about mentioning the "i" word.
I was trying to ask if you were starting any other supplement, not just that one, at the same time as the brewer's yeast... so then we might not be able to tell the difference between any reactions. (And I know Ray has mentioned brewer's yeast, so I thought that one was probably ok to mention).

:D

j- I assume you're saying that's good? Are you familiar with this brand? How does it look to you overall?

I haven't used B supplements. The fat soluble ones can be complicated enough.

No problem. :) No, I can't remember any other supplement started around the same time. I had read this article back when I was looking into natural forms of B, maybe it would be helpful, if you haven't read it:

Just saw this article today as well! I wish more people had tried it so they could recommend brands, etc. Also having trouble determining if certain brands of brewer's yeast are gluten free.

http://www.celiac.com is a good resource for determining if things are really gluten free. If that particular one isn't gluten free they may have suggestions of other options.

I've been on a paleo diet for 4 years but i've always ate tons of bacon (3-5 days a week half a pound+) and poured the fat on everything, cooked with it, poured on veggies, etc. Do you think I have a lot of PUFA stored?

Supplemented with one Krill oil capsule/day too. Not much chicken though. Grain-fed Beef main protein sourced (grassfed the past 6 months).

Did you follow very low carb Paleo? Although it's not ideal or even desirable I think being very low carb kept me from having more PUFA stored. I have no scientific proof of this but since I was constantly burning fat for fuel and had very little body fat I think I probably was less likely to have as much PUFA stored in my tissues. That's why I originally started this thread. I wanted to see what other forum members thought of my theory. If my speculations are correct and a person has been on a ketogenic or very low carb diet for a while it is possible that some stored and ingested PUFA could have been used for fuel. It's a horrible thing to put the body through imo but could explain part of why I experienced such a rapid improvement upon discovering Peat's work. If you were often in ketosis and had low body fat while on a paleo diet I suppose it is possible you may not have as much PUFA stored as you otherwise might have had. With that said I'm currently questioning most things I thought I knew. It's a situation of the more you think you know the more you realize you don't know. When it's all said and done I think what is important is that we stop the excessive consumption of PUFA and provide our bodies with adequate and appropriate fuel.
