This is meant to link up with my recent post about
a possible uBiome "club."
http://www.raypeatforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=6384&e=1&view=unread#unread

I've been wondering how having no appendix
might affect a Peater.
I cooked up this in my fever-swamp brain
after exchanging posts with bigpeatowski,
who also is missing her appendix.

So, the We the Appendixless
might be a SubClub of the
Peat uBiome Club
I just tossed out for consideration.

Obviously there could be many SubClubs
and hell
even some SubSubClubs.... :)

Hi narouz!
It's great that you are posting such a thread for opening a discussion on how to deal with this. But I just want to comment so that this discussion doesn't become: We, the victims; blaming failures on it without knowing for sure. It sure makes it harder, but most problems that can easily be blamed as caused by lack of the appendix are just an association.

You kiddin', Amazon?

Nah...I hear ya.
But I look at this uBiome thing
as a possible potential tool to acquire some knowledge and insight--
empowering.

As I just responded over in the other thread about uBiome,
there are different views about how much we can/should try to manipulate our own gut flora.
But simply eating a good Peat diet is an intervention,
to my mind.
More specific possible interventions multiply from there....
Even your recommendations,
which I appreciate...
I see them as broad intervention strategies....

But it's better to put in the first comment, otherwise it will be lost when the thread reaches 200 pages..
