Sure, as long as they are right near the beach :): And it has to be a nice beach too. Warm water and soft sand.

I'll be at 6700 feet soon. The con to this is--I also love the beach, and yet it'll be so far away.

1500m = ~80% of normal oxygen pressure in the artery.

The city of Denver is at 1609 meters.

This page has a chart of the tree line altitudes for different mountain ranges. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tree_line

It's pretty high in the Rockies. Bolivia has the highest tree line though, in the Cordillera Mountains 17,000 feet!

Whistler is 7500 ft above sea level at highest point accesible by lift, and 90 minutes from the beach.
