Hi

Is any beneficial effect of drinking decaf coffee?

I know, it is not the same as the real one, but without caffeine is it useful to drink it?

Caffeine has lots of health benefits. But decaf coffee is also rich source of
magnesium, niacin and antioxidant. Phenolic compounds in coffee, both
regular and decaf, helps with lowering iron absorption.

You have to be careful have the coffee was decaf. They could use some chemical solvents, I think there are 2 safe processes, ones is the CO2 and one other.

Yes its better than drinking water. Water offers no benefits except hydration. Why not get Hydration from foods and liquids that contain some additional benefits. Water vs Decaf Coffee? DECAF WINS

"Decaffeinated coffee was found to be associated with cancer of the pancreas. A residue of solvent in the coffee is a likely candidate for explaining the association, since the other groups found by epidemiologists to have a high rate of pancreatic cancer were people who work in gasoline stations and in dry-cleaning businesses."

What if its swiss water processed?

The SWISS WATER® Process is a method of decaffeinating coffee beans that was developed by the Swiss Water Decaffeinated Coffee Company. To decaffeinate the coffee bean by the Swiss Water method, a batch of green (unroasted) beans is soaked in hot water, releasing caffeine.

seems pretty harmless...

Apparently Nescafe uses a water extraction method. "Since NESCAFÉ created the first decaffeinated coffee in 1961, various methods have merged to extract the caffeine from the coffee bean such as, The Swiss Water Method, Carbon Dioxide, and Methyl Chloride. However, NESCAFÉ uses a decaffeination process with water that allows all the aroma and flavour of the coffee to be preserved, without the use of other chemicals." Probably similar to Swiss Water. I've been experimenting with switching to decaf after 12 PM to get better sleep. So far it has not been very successful. I notice no difference.
