Why are haiduts supplements being advertised on every page?

As far as I can tell he was banned for imposing himself as a potential threat to the stability of the establishment....

Or am I wrong?

I liked VoS,
and wish he could've stayed.
But just for one thing,
I heard that when he was banned he threatened Charlie with legal action.

Besides that, I don't think he really threatened the existence of the forum. :)
Personally, I worried about his seeming intention to recruit the forum
in order to help him create products for sale
under the principle that they were Ray Peat products.

That is something that is not...an absolute wrong, imo.
But...if attempted it must be done carefully.
VoS wasn't very careful in that regard, imo.

Did not haiduit do the very same thing?

Oh wait, everyone likes that guy. So then it's cool right.

Someday haidut will get bought out. Probably by general mills. Until that day he contributes. If nothing else, he will expand the market for less adulterated supplements. His prodcts are considered combinations which allow one to expieriment with general principles in metabolism.

post 80056 I've bought supplements from haidut before and never had any problems "finding" them. Why does every page of this forum now have a large coloured banner advertising his supplements?

My question is to Charlie, why have you turned this place into an advertisement rather than a place of discussion, what was wrong with having threads dedicated to each of the supplements?

It's an important principle at stake, yes.
And look up at the beginnings of this thread you'll see I weighed in on behalf of the o.p.
I understand the concern.

As I said in my last post,
imo it is not an absolute wrong--the making and selling of Peat-oriented products.
But it does need to be done very carefully.

To me, there is a big difference between how haidut approaches it
and how VoS approached it.

haidut posted for a long time before he created his products,
and over that time it became clear he knew his Peat.
Just look at volume and quality and persistence of haidut's posts and compare.
He makes clear how his views depart from Peat's.
He doesn't seem in a hurry
and he doesn't push his products frantically.

To me, VoS showed a lot of brilliance.
But he didn't come across as someone who had carefully and patiently studied Peat.
Definitely lacking bigtime in understanding the nuances and cautiousness in Peat's thinking.
And his mercenary motivations were pretty much forefronted.
I could go on...

Point is: huge difference in how haidut approaches things and how VoS did, imo.
Still, not hating on VoS.
I really enjoyed reading a lot of his stuff and, as I said, I think he had a brilliance in interpreting Peat's ideas.
I'm not part of "the power struture" here,
but I tried to talk to VoS about relaxing some in terms of his sales pitching.

I haven't come across any threads where this was an issue.

Using someone else's name on a product without his/her approval would definitely be incorrect.

However if someone did want to manufacture Peat products and managed to get his approval (would never happen) then it would be ok. Just like it would be perfectly fine to produce one's own line of products claiming no contribution other than one's own. As long as your not a spam bot, advertise away

Really? Seriously? Banner is a problem?
Supplements offered by a trusted, respected member supported by a trusted, respected moderator. I see it as a service to us. Thank you Charlie

If it were easy for me to order haidut's supplements, I would, but deep down I am satisfied about this. After all, I have a tendency to abuse supplements
