Thats the stuff! Although their eyes are suspiciously white still. I wonder if applying topically doesn't work!

nitric oxide is very interesting though...I wonder, if stress alone, like life stress could provoke it...or maybe that provokes serotonin which then nitric oxide. Peat seems to group nitric oxide, estrogen, serotonin, histamine, glutamate, prostaglandins all with the same processes...like one triggers the others, and they end in iron free radicals

methylene blue looks awesome, but im afraid to consume strong herbal or chemical substances that aren't food...have had one too many bad experiences...especially something that strongly pigmented, usually the more pigmented and dark, the harsher the effect. Wiki does say it suppresses NO synthase, but also that it can lead to dangerously high levels or serotonin. I couldn't tell exactly but I think Peat recommends caffeine and other xanthines in the interview as having minorly beneficial effects on NO

Yeah, my methylene blue arrives tomorrow. ;)

Have you begun using it yet? What has your experience been so far?

I only tried it a few times so far, but I really liked the effects. A few drops felt like emodin, a bigger dose gave me a mild stomach upset though. I'll keep experimenting with it.

Thanks! Mine comes wednesday. What brand did you purchase and how much did you take to get that positive feeling?

I've got the King British Methylene Blue. 1 ml of that seems to be a good dose for me, but I don't take it everyday. Its effects seem to last longer than a day.

[ moderator edit: posts moved from Methylene Blue ]

I did listen to the KMUD interview in total and poor Dr. Peat had to put up with some lady calling in to express her annoyance at his opinions about Viagra, lol.

I recall what he said specifically was that MBlue was nontoxic even at high doses...HOWEVER if anyone undertakes a real trial of this stuff they should seriously review the recommendations for people who are taking powerful MAOIs. NO alcohol, NO aged cheeses, fresh food only, and absolutely no SSRI drugs. I was reading a case history where a person died from a combination of lorazepam ( benzo) and Mblue, which means it is probably effeting GABA receptors as well.

Be careful out there~!
