Gummybear is banned now?

Bad language, disrespectful, dropping the "n" word any chance he got. Yeh, he's banned. I have no problem banning someone who doesn't follow the rules set forth. He was warned, carried on, got banned, came back did it again, got banned.
And no the bans are not out of hand, I(and the mods) do what is needed to provide a safe environment where the whole family can hang out if they want. Been here what, 3 years? Maybe around 10-15 bans the whole time, give or take a couple. I don't see a problem. Do people feel safe here, that they wont get attacked, put down, made to feel like crap. You betcha.

Nah not really, that wasn't a thought. I like gummybear, he has been here since the beginning like narouz, he even helped me at one point and I will never forget that. That means a lot to me, he put in the time. He just really pissed me off when he came right back (after a short ban) with his vulgar language yet again. I am not an ****, and I don't take banning lightly. Just trying my best to keep it friendly and respectful here. I have said this to myself about others here "if you are not an arse, then you have no worries here".

And now VoS is banned... why was he banned Charlie?
I feel like people don't get Gummybear's sense of humour. Same with Anon/J.
It's a real loss to the community when some of the people with the most thought provoking posts and experience with Ray's work end up getting banned. We are much worse off without them.

Didn't Charlie just say above or somewhere that the ban on gummybear was lifted?
And j. was banned but I think I read some months back that that ban was lifted too.
j. cussed me up and down here so many times I lost track,
despite my never doing that to him once.
So Charlie gave him a very wide berth for a long time on that crap,
and I guess his ban is now lifted.
It's okay; I can handle it.
Gummy is okay but he needs to ditch his anti-Semitic tinged "politics."
I felt morally obligated to call him out a bit on those.
I think VoS had some intriguing ideas and I wished he could've stayed.
But he also had some just plain dumb ideas--
mainly, he seemed very into marketing and he was a man in a hurry.
He tried to rally the forum to help him market
what he kept on calling Ray Peat nutritional ideas,
but they were laughably unPeatish and also just very slapdash in conception.
Here just recently he apparently threatened legal action against the forum,
so...pretty hard not to ban that unless you're a masochist or something. :)
Those of you who want people with interesting ideas to keep posting, maybe consider supporting the forum by encouraging posters to work with the aims and rules of the forum Charlie so kindly runs for us.
All the people who have been banned could have chosen to stay, had they been prepared to behave with basic courtesy, rather than repeated disrespect and undermining the purposes of the forum.
If people want a space for a free-for-all where everyone can say whatever they like with no constraint, they are free to set up their own forum.
