Re: KMUD: 7-18-2014

Sometimes I wish Andrew wouldnt prattle on as much (this show always seems so short after the intros etc) and that the callers would be a little more respectful. Its frustrating to hear that one women ring up so often and interupting Ray and being so openly confrontational. Not to mention that last guy about the ketogenic diet thing. Id prefer if Andrew didnt take so many calls or if he just compiled some listener questions related to the subject matter ahead of time.

Lol yeah i get made when that woman comes on. She pops up all the time!

Yeah the questions I think should be cut, too. People tend to ask the same questions every week, in sligthly different form.

I think I've counted around 10 different shows where she has called.

I feel like the older kmuds were filled with much more information. Sarah had a way of keeping things on track in my opinion. They should return to a strict no calls for the first half of the hour because now when someone calls they immediately interrupt Ray in the middle of his point to take the caller. After that interruption the show seems to lose its focus.

Totally agree about Sarah! Hope they bring her back soon. She was also good at finding the practical applications for the topic.

Those interruptions are a real bummer.

So true!

Mustn't the interruptions
and promiscuous call taking and editing
be about money?
They think they have to try to become popular
by reaching out all the time to everyone and forever...?

I love Sarah to and like it when she plays an equal role.
But don't short-change Andrew.
If he could just introduce more crisply,
and get on with it.
(and keep it on track, largely by screening/controlling callers more strongly)

He has the gift or ability
to really listen
and respond meaningfully.

You listen to other Peat interviewers...
not all have that talent!

I totally agree. I like Andrew and think he asks the right questions and has good insight into peats theories etc. I just think the show is too short to get into the detail he would like with verbose questions and caller interruptions, not to mention the technical hiccups which waste time too. Wonder if he's considered pre-recording the show and then editing it down?

One simple thing with Andrew.
I wish he would just spend 15 seconds himself
giving
Peat's background, degrees, etc.
Be done with it.

Then:
"The topic of tonight's show is Vitamin A.
Dr. Peat, could you tell us a little about it?

The intro is one sentence.

Yep. But I do like how Ray usually tends to find ways to sneak some interesting on topic info into his background intros! :):

These things are offputting. But thanks for posting. Is it still worth a listen or will that woman finally drive me to drink?

Oh I don't think anyone is shortchanging Andrew! It's just that Sarah brought what he needed - crack the whip and get on with it! They complemented each other very well as an interview team. All that was lacking was a crack engineer to screen the callers for them :D

That is true.
Couple things I don't like about the credentialing:
1. Andrew seems to read from a script...canned...
"And for those who, perhaps, have never heard of you,
perhaps you could give an outline of etc etc...."
2. I sense the Peat maybe feels a little uncomfortable
listing his achievements.

Andrew could give Peat's credentials
and then ask him if he has anything he'd like to add...?

I feel like crack might not be the engineer's substance of choice

Re: KMUD: 7-18-2014

It was! Though it was only at 17.30 that he got a chance to get going. ;)
I took out of this one: it's 100g protein or at least that's the figure if you're treating mental focus and memory ; sugar is recommended only for some things not generally (???) unless diet up to scratch ; ketones are great so long as they're in your diet, not produced in your body ; skintags could be handled with topical progesterone, pregnenolone, dhea, also keeping cholesterol and thyroid up. A cold brain also affects memory, focus, and an eardrum thermometer is a good way to measure brain temp. Raising it can be done with heat, sugar, salt, protein, also progesterone, pregnenolone and dhea . Oh, and isolated amino acids not great due to contaminants, ammonia.
