Some supplements like zinc are difficult to get enough of if, for example, one does not eat oysters or shellfish in general. The RDA for zinc is 10 mg of elemental magnesium yet what most companies sell is more on paper, but way less in terms of elemental zinc. A lot of zinc supplements contain a mere 20 % of elemental zinc, so that 50 mg of zinc sulfate or whatever is about the RDA. How do you guys go on about supplementing minerals like magnesium and zinc? Fixing a deficiency in zinc can be great for men!

Some of them mention it on bottle, if it elemental or the SalT form.for zinc I saw for example they mention it 220 mg zinc sulfate , equal to 50 mg elemental zinc.

Or other types they write like this: 30mg zinc ......... As amino acid chelat.I guess they mean elemental dose with that.

Well precisely I think they don't mean this, if they say they sell 22 mg zinc picolinate it's 4-5mg of elemental zinc.
