Strange smell from arm pits

i've noticed a strong smell coming from my armpits (and likely pores as well) that is hard to describe but smells bitter i suppose. it started happening when i began drinking a lot of goat milk (and some cow milk kefir) and also taking some L-Lysine pills (that include magnesium stearate and titanium dioxide) so i thought it was maybe the pills but the smell lingered after not taking them for a week or so. thinking it's the goat milk but the smell is so strong that i'm wondering if it's a detox symptom of some sort or just something in the goat milk coming through. there are no additives in the goat milk at all.....

interesting. would this be related to the large increase in goat milk consumption?

I'm returning to this thread after several months with some updates. So the smell I assumed was emanating from within me appears to actually be a nasal/smell issue. Everything I smell is tainted by this strange bitter, kinda mucus-ey, almost burnt smell. I've tried several dietary changes, daily nasal washings, changed my environment (moved from southern USA to northern USA) and stopped taking all supplements for a while. I saw my primary care physician and he didn't see anything wrong with me, and denied any of the possible issues that I researched online (diabetes and some other strange diseases). He did blood work to see if anything showed up and everything came back fine (great actually). It's been 3 weeks since the bloodwork and still no changes with the smell issue so I'm making an appointment with an Ear, Nose, and Throat specialist. This has been an issue for over 4 months now....

Any insights into what might be happening?

The first thing that comes to mind is a zinc deficiency. Lots of people have been having this issue lately especially after having covid but it can also happen after a cold or the flu. It can be overcome by temporarily taking high amounts of elemental zinc (like 50~100 mg) until you see an improvement.

Not sure what causes this but I had the same EXACT thing happen to me. Fortunately, after 4 to 6 months it went away and has never come back.

interesting. i've read that it can be caused by viral or bacterial infections. i met with an Ear, Nose, and Throat specialist today and they confirmed that's likely what it is. they prescribed me a Zinc Sulfate supplement that I'm now doing research about. reading that yours went away after 4-6 months has me hopeful as I'm at a little over 4 months with it so far.

I'm about 3 months in with similar issues. My armpits can smell metallic at times. Only certain things smell off like coffee, gasoline, strawberries, sour cream and coke tastes horrible. I think I'll try to supplement with zinc as well. Best of luck.

after reading about some shitty side effects of zinc sulfate (especially at the dose the doctor prescribed, 220mg twice a day) I'm going to just try eating more oysters and seafood again and hope i get over it within a couple months like it did for @joaquin

those ear nose and throat specialists are full of ***t.

The only way bacteria can live on your armpits (or anywhere) is if they have food to survive, otherwise they die very quickly and btw they cant live off healthy tissues. So there must be something else on the sight feeding them.

If one has a bacterial "infection"on the armpits this means the body is 1. Removing a toxin from the sweat glands on the armpits 2. Creating a special type of bacteria to eat the poison usually through pleomorphism . The end result is the metabolism of the bacteria eating the ***t that was in your body creates the bad smell. This is a mechanism the body has to get rid of toxins internally and then when the toxin is on the skin - the bacteria finish it off.

It is always toxemia, never viruses or bacteria. Bacteria is there to help, not kill anyone. Notice how people with lung bacterial "infection" never have the bacteria spread to other organs or tissues and it stays in the affected organ only ? Why ? Because bacteria is part of the immune system fighting a) toxin b) dead cell debris . This is why you never see a pneumonia infecting the gut or kidneys or other organs. UNLESS the "infection" is not part of a healthy recovery response but a systemic poisoning of the whole system. In this case infection can spread to other parts. But this is almost never the case.

Milk is helping the body remove some of those toxins. I am not sure how it does it but seems the higher the fat content the better the detoxification. It might take 2-3 months to remove the toxin and stop the smell but only if you stop poisoning yourself with the same toxin. Raw high fat milk is even better at doing this.

Btw taking titanium dioxide pills is a really really bad thing to do. Absolutely nothing can excuse the use of this poison.

edit: viral infections also do not exist ( in reality ). Most doctors do not like reality. Same goes for most people.

you read too much aajonus didnt you
Not Aajonus. Read him too though. He was I think on the right track for many things.

I had experienced the same thing. It passed after 2 months on 2-3l milk per day. Started after poisoning myself for some time using bad stuff for the body.

Raw full fat Milk was the main trigger for the armpit smell as well. Came out stronger and healthier afterwards. Happened to my SO as well - it too passed in the same timeframe.

Thanks for sharing your insights and all this info. not sure if you read the other posts but i ended up realizing that this actually wasn't an armpit smell issue, it is actually a nasal disorder causing my sense of smell to be disoriented, that's why i went to the ENT doctor. they weren't helpful (as you mentioned they tend to be). you may be right that whatever is happening is my body detoxing something(s), but i began drinking milk long before the sense of smell was altered and I've done tons of fasting and detoxing in the past so it's pretty random for it to have begun around the time it did. there's not much i can do about it anyway other than continue to eat and live healthy so that's the plan.

Huh. Burnt smell even when nothing is burnt around. I've had that for a month last year and this year as well. Though burnt wasn't the only phantom smell I've experienced. I'll read and follow this thread.

sometimes burnt, sometimes astringent, sometimes like ammonia, sometimes like vinegar, sometimes like pee..... depends on what I'm smelling. Sense of smell disorientation I'm calling it....
