The study was with pyridoxine hydrochloride (the cheap version of B6 available everywhere), and the dosage for children was 200mg. The authors also state that niacinamide has similar/same effects.

There was a second study I forgot to post so here it is:
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/1096686

Note, that the explanation of the authors seems to be that the asthma is caused by defects in tryptophan metabolism favoring serotonin production, and B6 normalizes this metabolic deficiency thus alleviating asthma symptoms. If excess serotonin is the real cause then cyproheptadine and ondansetron should help as well. Maybe even BCAA combined with high protein diet to deplete serotonin.

I should mention that the combination of B6 and BCAA has been particularly effective for me in lowering stress and enhancing mood. Probably because BCAA lower serotonin and cortisol and the B6 lowers prolactin and according to you Haidut also histamine

I think that, based on the work of Fuad Lechín, tianeptine would be the drug of choice for any people, adults or children, with asthma pb. It's a strong assertion, but Dr Lechín probably solved the equation of the " asthma problem" many years ago.
B6 could propably be important, though.
