Hi. I've read in various Facebook posts about Dr. Peat's carb:protein ratio recommendations.

The basic idea being that while it's all good to have the building materials (protein), the construction crew won't (or can't) start until it's convinced it has both the goods and the fuel to get the job done. Depending on the posts, it's 4:1, 3:1, or 2:1 (c:p).

I've been playing it safe on the carbs side (former fat guy), but considering my stall in gains, I'm wondering what has your experience been in playing with these ratios. I'm estimating I'm somewhere between 1:1 and 2:1 for now.

With regards to fats, minimal fat intake works better for me overall (less bloating, more stable energy, bowel regularity, etc.).

50% carbs 25% fats 25% proteins. Ideal macros for me.

We're all n=1s, but daily caloric intake average/estimate?

Around 2500kcal and maybe once a week I will eat some more 3000-3500kcal.

for me: 65%carb/25% protein/10% fat per meal
2800-3000 calories a day
5-6 meals a day

I do around a 5:1 carb to protien ratio. I think if you have very very good thyroid function you can get away with less, but the more hypothyroid you are the higher the ratio you will need. Carbohydrates make you skinny btw, it's caloric restriction that causes the body stress, which leads to higher water weight retention(estrogen)/fat gain.
