Aspirin As Effective As Viagra For ED, But With Much Fewer Side Effects

Aspirin has only helped my libido and erections. It has also helped my skin as well. I literally tried everything to combat my androgen-driven acne and noticed that after a week of taking 325mg every night my skin cleared dramatically. Now I have been taking 325mg aspirin for about 2 months and feel great! Taking 1mg of K2 per day as well, but was already taking that for about 6 months prior to taking aspirin, so it's not due to that.

Yeh... I highly doubt it was "androgen driven" acne if there is even such a thing. Likely aspirin's anti-serotonin, anti-estrogen effects were what helped your acne.

I usually take 2-6 grams of aspirin per day

How long have you been doing this for? Why such a high dose? Any side effects?
I ask because I have family members who have cancer and I sometimes contemplate trying to convince them to take aspirin.

Last 2,5 years daily. I supplement K1 to prevent possible bleeding. First year I gave me some sluggishness possibly due lactate build up. And as I said ED. I found out that tolerance builds up. I started with 1 gram for sleep issues. Tolerance has builded up over this period of time. I started to use more then 1 dose after I discovered this forum and uncoupling effects of aspirin.

@haidut I have ED but I was also born with a G6PD deficiency. Is it still safe for me to take aspirin? Most places online and most doctors tell me to stay away from aspirin. I have actually tried it a few times tho, 300mg or less and had no problems but didn't use it long term, only on occasion.

Thanks for the reply. What benefits do you experience, how does the uncoupling feel?

Would daily small doses of aspirin be equivalent to a moderate dose, taken every few other days?
I'm currently taking 500 mg daily, since starting peating. I've never supplemented Aspirin before, especially long-term.
Also, can't say it has any effects on my libido, that by the way, was low from before I started peating.
Thinking 200 - 300 mg would be a better daily dose long-term.

I think as the study Haidut posted suggests, it takes time for aspirin's vascular remodeling effect to happen (months), so if you started recently then you probably wouldn't notice anything. I had been dabbling with aspirin on and off for years but never consistently. When I started taking a daily 325mg aspirin tablet months ago, in the second week I noticed a significant improvement in my acne. Skin is noticeably more supple. In addition, I noticed a marked improvement in my erection quality, sensitivity, and refractory period. I suppose aspirin's anti-serotonin effects could play a role, but my reduced refractory period makes me wonder if there is an additional anti-prolactin effect.

Yet another blockbuster drug may turn out to be nothing more than a well-marketed gimmick, which while not entirely a scam can be replaced with cheaper, safer alternatives that also have much lower potential for side effects. The drug in question is Viagra, and the humble, just-as-effective substitute is aspirin. A group of doctors out of Turkey has been conducting studies comparing the effects of aspirin on sexual performance in men diagnosed with erectile dysfunction (ED). The experiments go back at least a decade but up until 2018 they were done primarily on animals. However, the last two studies coming out of that group are with humans and the results are quite impressive, especially considering that the aspirin dose was just 100mg daily and the treatment lasted for only 6 weeks. An additional aspect that the popular press articles do not discuss is the potential for aspirin to actually be a so-called "disease modifying therapy". ED is known to be caused by cardiovascular disease (CVD). While Viagra has never been shown to improve the pathology of CVD and no such claims have ever been made about that drug, aspirin HAS been shown to have a long term beneficial effect on CVD. As such, the benefits of aspirin may actually be much longer-lasting and may even be (dare I say) "curative". In other words, after those 6 weeks of aspirin therapy the improvements in erection and sexual function may very well be persistent compared to the people taking Viagra. And as the study found, even if one has to use Viagra, taking aspirin with it significantly lowers the risk of side effects from that drug. Not bad for a tiny pill with more than 3 thousand years of human medical history, and dirt-cheap compared to Viagra.

Efficacy and safety of combination of tadalafil and aspirin versus tadalafil or aspirin alone in patients with vascular erectile dysfunction: a com... - PubMed - NCBI

"...RESULTS: The changes in IIEF-EF scores after treatment were 7.2 ± 4.4, 7.3 ± 4.3, 7.5 ± 4.4, and 2.0 ± 4.6 for group 1 (p < 0.0001), group 2 (p < 0.0001), group 3 (p < 0.0001), and group 4 (p = 0.0204), respectively. The change in SEP-2 ratios after treatment were 36.6%, 36.9%, 41.7%, and 9.4% for group 1 (p < 0.0001), group 2 (p < 0.0001), group 3 (p < 0.0001), and group 4 (p = 0.2925), respectively. The change in SEP-3 ratios after treatment was 46.6%, 49.2%, 53.7%, and 12.5% for group 1 (p < 0.0001), group 2 (p < 0.0001), group 3 (p < 0.0001), and group 4 (p = 0.1456), respectively. In group 2 [tadalafil], both the number of patients who reported side effects (p < 0.0001) and stopped using the drug due to side effects (p < 0.05) were significantly higher than the control and others groups. CONCLUSIONS: Successful results were obtained by tadalafil and aspirin monotherapy and tadalafil + aspirin combination therapy in patients with VED. However, the least side effect was observed in the tadalafil + aspirin group. Aspirin can be used alone in the treatment of patients with VED, or combined with tadalafil to reduce side effects and increase success."

Could you improve your love life with an aspirin?

"...DAILY aspirin is as effective as Viagra-type drugs for impotence, according to a study. Doctors at Istanbul Medipol University in Turkey divided 336 men with erectile dysfunction into four groups and gave them either aspirin, tadalafil (a Viagra-like drug), tadalafil plus aspirin, or a placebo, according to the study published in International Urology and Nephrology. Taken separately, both drugs increased sexual activity by more than a third, and together, also removed headaches associated with tadalafil. Researchers say aspirin ‘thins' the blood, so more can flow into the genital area, and may help the 70 per cent of men whose impotence has a vascular cause."
Haidut, there was a study on rats, that I think you are aware of, that shows after a week of a moderate or high dose T started to drop significantly. That kept me away from aspirin frequent usage

I think the benefits of aspirin outweigh the potential negatives of T dropping. And I question that study in rats as it applies to humans. No study in humans has shown it to be the case. Unless it's replicated I would take that with a grain of salt. I get my T levels checked several times per year and long-term aspirin hasn't resulted in lower T levels in me. On the contrary, my T levels have been higher in spite of taking it, though I don't think there is a causal relationship.

Which dosages have you being using and what are your normal T range?

T is in the 500-600 range. Historically years ago it was in the low 200s before I started peating. I use 325mg aspirin/day. I take aspirin now because it makes me feel good. Even if it did lower my T, I feel better with it now and sex drive/function is better so I don't care. There's too much focus on total testosterone and not how someone functions and feels.

I probably won't be taking aspirin like this forever, and probably it's a good idea to cycle on and off. Also, since it has lasting effects, being on it for long periods is not necessary.

I do agree with you. I’m on 800 to almost 1000 range and my sexual function is not good. High T doesn’t mean you will have good sex. Neither it means you are gonna feel like a god.
I’m planning starting a similar dose ED in the morning. In the night seems to disturb sleep

Does anyone here have issues with their ED only becoming a problem during sex? Lately every time I wake up I have an erection but when it comes to sex, it’s like 80% erect. Not sure what the cause of that could be.

Just a thought, there is some interesting research on the cardioprotective effects of taking aspirin at night with regards to preventing thrombosis, platelet aggregation, etc, that comes along with laying or sitting in the same position for hours. I take at night for this reason, though I don't fit a high-risk profile for cardiovascular disease, so it's probably not necessary.

Yes, I've had T levels over the top of the range before from experimenting with various substances and my sexual function was much worse then than it is now. At the time I couldn't believe it but it just goes to show that once again, Peat is right in this regard. More androgens is not necessarily better, and if anything the DHT/T ratio is what's really important, as well as where estradiol is in that mix too. Let me know how you feel if you go through with regular aspirin. I started noticing higher libido and better function after about a week or two.

I've actually had just the opposite experience (not always good morning wood, but during sex I have no trouble). I think that it has a lot to do with the mind. Loving sex can help a lot because instead of worrying about how you are performing, you focus on the other person. Kissing helps a lot too. And it works for women too. Kissing works because it helps you stop thinking about performing and be more in the moment. Serotonin can potentially be high too, if you're having trouble with emotions or feel blah. I suspect that's how I felt in the past too, because it would be difficult for me to get out of an apathetic state.

@stevrd I sometimes get hard during kissing, but when it comes to getting to the act of sex, it sometimes fails. I blame porn for this, which I am trying to stay away from as much as possible.
My T was in the 300 - 400 range before peating, excited for the near future, I'd be thrilled to get it over 700 ng/dL.

Im in the same range yet rarely watch porn. I’d imagine it has to do with low androgens output/deficiency.
