Does anyone know of a "pure" anti-cholinesterase compound?

Cypro has a lot of other effects, which I do not want.

I have read that the body becomes habituated to diphenhydramine.

I am looking for something to calm an overactive mind at night.
Thanks.

This may not be what you're looking for, but have you tried glycine, serine, potassium and topical magnesium before bed?

That combo helps my mind quite a lot.

No difference.

Not a direct answer to your question but am thinking vitamin B1 may be worth investigating as it is necessary for the production of Acetylcholine

Have you considered copper toxicity? That will make your mind wired and race.

I don't take copper. I stopped about three months ago.
And I don't eat liver, so I don't think copper is the issue.
But I did take 6 mg of copper daily last year for about 6 months.

Copper is probably the issue. It takes a long time to clear, it's still in your system. Niacin often helps with sleep problems, in the meantime. Some zinc can also help counter the copper.

No need to take meds, which will only stress the liver even more, which has to deal with the elimination of all the toxins, including copper.

I agree with this and also believe copper may be the primary driver of your issues. It can take a long time to clear excess bioaccumulated copper.

I would add that niacin, zinc and molybdenum made the copper toxicity much more apparent for me because they seem to liberate copper into the blood forcing our body to "deal" with it. So, you may feel worse before you feel better.

I take 50 mg of niacinamide, 20 g of zinc and no molybdenum each day.

Niacinamide is not the same as nicotinic acid/niacin and that dose is too low. Assume you meant 20 mg of zinc?
Yes, it is 50 mg of Niacinamide, as mercola said to take no more than that if one has trouble sleeping.
Yes, 20 mg zinc.

Niacinamide is not the same as nicotinic acid/niacin and if you already know everything and aren't willing to consider other viewpoints why aren't you already feeling great?

What an incredibly presumptous and arrogant and clueless comment.
You really know how to drive people away from a calm and useful discussion.
Take a deep breath.
Move on.

Theanine and Inositol can be used at night for this, i think both have a very calming effect.

I'm calm. You're the presumptuous one. It's probably copper. Look at your copper intake and try to eliminate any copper containing foods, which are much more common than you think. Look at copper content in foods.

Ps niacinamide is not the same as nicotinic acid.
