Yesterday I had one too many (strong) coffees and didn't realize.
My temperature plummeted from 98.4 or so, to 96.5.
Yes, that is dramatic. I took maybe 15mcg of T3 and drank a Coke and it came back up but it wasn't easy.
In the old days I never would have realized this was happening. Classic hypoglycemia and then cortisol. I suspect my liver isn't as robust as it could be.
Something to watch out for, for sure. Dr. Peat says he has a glass of orange juice for an egg. To ward of hypoglycemic reaction.
Coffee is great, but the strong stovetop espresso we make can deceive you and then you are in a stress state. I think the free fatty acids are destructive especially if they are PUFA-laden. You get these with exercise too, potentially of course, and when fasting during sleep.
But the reaction in the daytime with the coffee was much worse.
