Why Doesn't Excess Zinc Cause Grey Hair Via Induced Copper Deficiency? (Gray Hair Either:)

Everyone says excess zinc can cause a copper deficiency and on this forum people think topical or dietary copper can sometimes restore hair color (also suggested by Dr. Peat). But zinc is such a popular supplement that lots of people like @youngsinatra will overdose for various reasons.

So I was expecting lots of cases of children binging on zinc gummies or whatever and going completely gray but I didn't see any. I might have missed a case or two but I would expect it to be common.

I just thought it was an interesting question so I'm throwing it out there since there's some debate on the copper narrative.

Copper toxicity is what causes gray hair. Those in the low toxin lifestyle groups are seeing their true hair color come back.

Really interesting. I've been curious about this for years. I should have also mentioned that I haven't seen much success on forum members reversing gray hair with copper (or any that I recall).

Me neither. I have some white hairs on my beard since I was around 16 (now in my twenties). have tried copper too, and for a long time, but it did nothing other than making me more anxious and giving me more acne.

This thread is the closest I have seen to an alternative explanation.

Do we have to restrict beans consumption since most of them are high in copper ?
What would be the limit ?

I have started greying around my beard too (I am in my late 30s). I have tried almost everything mentioned on RP (Copper, Nettle, Folic acid, vitd, eliminating caffeine) but nothing has worked. Will be good to see if anybody had success with anything.
