Dextrothyroxine, Levothyroxine, Tyroxine confusion
Most synthetic T4 meds contain Levothyroxine, which is an isomer of Tyroxine. But is Tyoxine the same as Dextrothyroxine? Is T4 produced by human thyroid gland a mix of Levothyroxine and Dextrothyroxine? Why manufacturers does not produce "Tyroxine" instead of Levothyroxine? -
