Nothing against DHT, but it is a growth factor and it does transcribe for ornithine decarboxylase. There are studies plainly showing this on the protein level, via Western blot, and on the mRNA level by using semi-quantitative PCR. Of course I don't think that androgens are mutagenic, only that cancer cells also respond to growth factors in kind.
