Incels: A Result of Technology?

Incels wouldn’t exist in a world where technology and the internet weren’t there.

I don’t see any Incels in hunter- gatherer and primitive tribes. It seems to be a modern problem caused by modern things. The internet and technology waste a lot of time and most people have zero social interaction in their lives due to that. Videogames, porn, movies, it all consumes a ton of one‘s time. Back in the day it was completely normal to start conversations in the bus or train with strangers, because looking outside the window would get boring after a while. Nowadays everybody is just staring at their phone. No humanity, no warmth, no social interactions.

An unnatural problem requires unnatural solutions.
The question is: what is the solution for this?

One time I got picked up by Uber and had to squoosh into the backseat with 3 young men that were already there.
None of them gave even an infinitesimal gesture to me. It was like shoving sacks of potatoes over to squoosh in. They were more comfortable being shoved then making an interactive gesture of any kind.
Very weird.

So, i think incels wouldn't agree that the lack of social interactions is the main fault.

I think incels are mostly men who don't fall in the % that are very attractive to women so they get sex for free, and don't want to spend resources in getting sex/relationship (or don't have resources to spend).

A disappointed look would have been an improvement--at least that is interactive.

There was a time when men between the ages around 28- 35 would have a smidge of respect to a well-dressed middle-aged woman.
I did say, "Oh, hi guys. I'm sorry. I'll just slip right here."

Young people don't say hi, it's common for them to put on their headphone during a break if they were not already wearing them during work, stare at their mobile phones and wait till time is up. I like random small encounters in my day-to-day life. I may have engaged you in a conversation, @Regina. I miss my high school years some time when there were so many different people to interact with. Society has become so atomized. And mobile phones really don't help to change that. They just add oil to the burning fire of societal decline.

"Incels" do not exist, "Incel" is not a thing. It is impossible for a person to be "involuntarily" celibate in this life. Only a series of choices could lead a person to celibacy. Only denial and bitterness could lead them to victimise themselves or commit to being victimised and claim they're there "involuntarily".

Human beings are inherently borderline telepathic. If there is a darkness about a persons heart, another will feel it, whether they acknowledge the sensation as such or not. Since most people aren't deranged freaks they're not going to find that darkness desirable, so there isn't a hope in hell an afflicted person is going to be capable of sealing the deal so to speak. Although that's airy and metaphysical, anyone who might read it here could supplant all manor of tangible Peaty advisory.

They probably didn't. A few weeks ago I was walking outside when a young guy came my way on "my" side of the sidewalk, staring at his phone. I kept walking and watched whether he would notice me at some point. He didn't. I stepped aside when I was only about 3 meters away from him. He still didn't look at me. It was almost scary.
