Same issue, below bellybutton. Do you find plant food irritates this?@youngsinatra Yup, same here...
I also suspect my lingering (digestive) issues are based in my colon and that that's also the cause of why I always have to strain when having a bowel movement. (and sadly the need for some (insoluble)fiber)
The lower belly, below the bellybutton, is also where I feel uncomfortable and when I get uncomfortable feelings, it only happens 4+ hours after eating or when I'm in bed.
It's the plant toxins and carbs (oxalates, fructose/fodmaps,starch) which cause issues for me....lol,which basically comes down to plant foods in general.Same issue, below bellybutton. Do you find plant food irritates this?
My gut is definitely readjusting while drinking water kefir. Passed some weird stool, felt slight discomfort in the first days but it's fine now. I have heard to go slow with kefir. (Well, I'm not good at doing so ) so I am already drinking 500-700ml a day, split into small portions after each meal. The water kefir grains are growing like crazy. Just one week in and I already have like 150g excess of kefir grains (I think I will dry them for storage) and I only started with a 25g starter culture.
Hey @Korven, it's awesome to hear about your improvement. How are you doing now? Are you still feeling better after your cocktail?
I have been taking one big sip of wormwood tea before meals and it seems to really stimulate hunger finally. I don't know what this means for me but probably not good. Don't notice much else with wormwood. Maybe little less inflamed, I can suffer slightly less at work.People on various forums have had success eliminating Candida by taking Artemesinin Annua, Sweet Wormwood.
So you think it’s some sort of endotoxin reaction? I unfortunately get this reaction from dairy. Red and tired feeling eyes. I keep trying to brute force foods that I don’t tolerate because I hear so many good things about them but I think I finally need to let go lol.And the sclera of my eyes are white again! Before they were always bloodshot, probably from chronic endotoxin poisoning or something.
However, I find I still have to avoid inflammatory foods to feel and function well.
@Korven thanks for the update and transparency about what's working and what's not! Glad to hear you're feeling better. How does coffee treat you these days?
Additionally, do you think stomach rumbling is a good sign that the intestine is working? I've seen a few people report on reddit that stomach grumblings indicate peristalsis, wondering if you've (or anyone else has) found this to be true
hey Korven, I was curious how your Reuteri yogurt was doing for you. Are you still getting the same benefits from it as you did in the beginning?UPDATE:
I would not recommend doing this protocol - it was a short lived success and did not really work long-term. After circa 2 months my appetite vanished again after stress + eating "bad" foods (for me gluten). I was back to where I was before taking augmentin, maybe even worse off because I now had quite bad heartburn. I think H pylori will just re-infect the gut and there is no way of nuking it with antibiotics.
HOWEVER... I find I can get the same benefits by avoiding certain foods (wheat and oatmeal and nightshades) and eating the L Reuteri yoghurt mentioned earlier in the thread. Writing this now I can feel my stomach growling for dinner which is a wonderful feeling. L Reuteri colonizes the gut and kills H pylori so its an awesome bacteria to have in your tummy.
Besides the appetite boost I am feeling better than I have in a long time. I am back to working out again, I have endless energy, sleep well, run a business while studying full-time, my eyesight is improving, and I have this sense of deep wellbeing that I haven't had in years. This level of health actually feels surreal for me and I am just waiting for "the comedown" lol.
