Hi, new to posting but have a huge amount of respect for the discussions and advice given on this forum.
My questions are in relation to post-cholecystectomy (gallbladder removal).
I had it removed several years ago, and have since developed diarrhea which I associate with the removal of the gallbladder.
Also of note is that I suffer badly from acid reflux, for which I take omeprazole. From what I understand this might be linked? Although my doctor seems to think this is caused by a hernia, which has not been proven.
The common treatment for the diarrhea is bile acid sequestriants.
However, the issue of dietary intake of fats and fat-soluble vitamins is hindered by bile acid sequestrants.
Is a way to alleviate the diarrhea and reflux (if it is linked) without bile acid sequestrants?
