I like listening to leo Longevity but the title obscures his message. I agree PTH rising is not really desirable. Magnesium seems to resolve some of the issues as he point out in this video

What do you mean by him being a hack? He is kind of peculiar in that he uses dextro amphetamine and donezepil anticholinergic and justifies its use of ssri somehow being oke coz it works on sigma-1 that must have awesome superpowers.Leo and Longevity is a hack. I am surprised somebody would give him the time of day here

Don't mix up calcidiol and calcitriol. This video is about not needing to use supplements to provide the hormone calcitriol and it self regulation mechanism that actually isnt needed to suplement to prevents rickets and so the term vitamin is incorrect.
Still its a good idea to use calcium with hormone calcitriol as they are synergistic. Probably why RP always advised them both together, but Ive never heard him about the selfregulation actions of calcitriol and the discrepencies seen of it's differing effects for ppl in other location and environmental conditions and from difference heritage,
Well said. I find that to be true of most intelligent thinkers. Ray's ideas toss a heavy wrench in their mechanistic thinking-processes and that is very uncomfortable. Cognitive dissonance is not avoidable once one dwells into the Peat sphere.Leo is very intelligent and discusses interesting topics, but he rarely entertains opposing views when challenged because of his intellectual superiority complex. I.e When provided with dozens of studies rebutting his views on the benefits of fish oil and serotonin, he dismisses them, and just said he prefers to avoid Ray Peat’s perspective.
