According to this study Vit A increases, not decreases Aromatase activity

The looked at the effect of vit A on aromatase in breast tissue fibroblasts.

I'd like to know if anyone has reasonable objections based on study design, methodology etc.

I actually believe that. My nipples felt more tender after supplementing A.

Great find Elie. As I understand it, the "Low VA" approach thinks it gets shuttled to body fat (Like PUFAs) when the liver is at capacity, so it is feasible it would be present in adipose tissue.

Things like this make my head spin. Retinoic Acid is a chemo drug. You would think it would grow cancer if it increased aromatase

y’all understand that these things don’t just work in one way. Biphasic effects. Duration. Dosage. Types of cell. Vitro. Vivo all these factors have profound effects on what retinol may do. And yes we can make conjecture from this data. But honestly the only way we can truly find out what’s up is if we could run these cell based studies in real time on humans somehow. But we can’t really. We usually use indicators like serum hormones and what not. Even That often doesn’t mean much

I appreciate you rationally posting studies with simple commentary.

I suppose this finding could be considered as expected for a highly unsaturated molecule. I'd be interested in seeing a dose/concentration response relationship for this effect
