I'm trying to improve my diet again (eat more calories, less starch) and I like the idea of goat milk smoothies for when my digestion can't handle solid foods.

Sugar is often used for easy calories, but I remember reading somewhere that glucose or fructose powder can be a better alternative, but I can't find which one it is?!

I would imagine glucose powder would be even more insulinogenic than starch, fructose powder can be good but probably not as a major source of calories. I would stick with mostly fruit and some sucrose for your sugars.

I'd recommend blending dates instead of pure sugar.
