Hello from Thailand. where we know a bit about rice.
In my years here, I have learned that the most delicious Jasmine rice, is the "new crop".
It comes in large bags ... like ordinary rice ... plus the bag will state, "New Crop".
Local grocery in Western countries unlikely to have New Crop rice.
Probably must go to specialty, Asian food store.
And maybe have to ask for it ... if they have it at all, may keep "in the back" for special customers.
Or maybe can order on-line.
Taste and aroma are so superior to ordinary Jasmine rice, it's worth the effort to search for New Crop.
