Not everyone can handle milk, some people do have a bad reaction to it. Aside from that, milk does have a significant impact on insulin which so blood sugar does rise rapidly. Once insulin clears the glucose, insulin remains elevated blocking fat burning leaving the person with no energy to draw from. Think of it like a sugar crash, eat a chocolate bar, sudden rush of energy from the sugar and you feel great, insulin rushes in to do it's job, insulin remains elevated for an extended period of time. Insulin blocks fat burning so someone cannot draw upon their body fat stores for energy. Because the sugar vaporizes quickly giving the person a short burst of energy, it doesn't last leaving the person with no energy. This usually happens in people that are insulin resistant to a degree making it difficult to access their body fat stores.
