Hello- a friend’s daughter is about 8yo. Generally healthy. Lots of time out doors, pretty much follow a GAPS type diet so not HEAPS of carbs and probably favoriting the fat but the family definitely doesn’t restrict carbs etc.
In the last year she has had quite a few cavities. They’re on tank water and they’ve decided to start giving her fluoride tablets and have switched to using a fluoride toothpaste.. this family drinks raw milk.. they go though about 10L per week between 2 adults and 2 kids.. they also consume lots of butter and liver (hidden in meats for the kids)...
Any thoughts? I’ve been trying to work out if it’s an imbalance that might be obvious.. she certainly gets a lot of calcium..
They’re also going to reduce her milk intake “because calcium can strip the calcium from the teeth”... I can’t see how it does that exactly but that’s what they’re thinking..
could someone point me in right direction? TIA
