General question, but how does one lower excess tissue or cellular sodium levels if one is hypothyroid, without resorting to thyroid medications? Does lowering dietary salt help in this case or not? Thanks

Hydration as in drinking water will help but I am guessing Magnesium and/or Potassium drive the Sodium out of the intracellular space. Yes lowering dietary sodium should help.

Sounds like potassium deficiency and the cell is trying to substitute with sodium. Could be low energy state as well. Drinking more water or lowering sodium before fixing a potential potassium deficiency can be counter productive.

High sodium can indicate copper toxicity.
