Topical Anti-Allergy Actives - Which To Choose?

Same old every year. Come June, I get hay-fever/allergy from grass-pollen. Luckily, it's maybe 20 days or so, hardly any reactions when it's rainy. Given that there are increasingly more people with hay-fever like symptoms all year round, it's a minor nuissance.

I've used to take systemic Loratadine tablets, but due to foraying into Peatland, I think I'll substitute that with diphenhydramine this year or switch to topical meds.

So if you please, has anybody knowledge about the two topical actives Cromoglicic acid and Azelastine? Is any of these two substances, used as in eyedrops and nasal sprays, to be recommended from a peat point of view or is there something problematic about either of them? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Azelastine - Wikipedia

Both seems to be mast-cell stabilizers and have anti-inflammatory properties beyond that, Cromo-acid reads ok to me.
