Awesome. Thank you. Which oranges were the sweetest?
They were all surprisingly sweet, but I think the Sainsburys and Waitrose (all of them) were all sweet - they were all the same variety (ie Valencia - Late).

I’m gonna try the cheapest ones again, just to make sure it’s consistent in terms of sweetness and amount of juice.

I noticed that if I leave the oranges in the fridge for a few days, they usually taste much sweeter.

The fruit or the juice?

Not competely sure about this one but Sainsbury's tortilla chips are made with sunflower and rapeseed oil but state that they're only 1.7g PUFA /100g. So a whole share pack is only 3.4g PUFA. Either they're using high-oliec oils or it's incorrect.

Has anyone else used MM Ingredients - Supplier of specialist gelatines, and collagens for gelatine/collagen?

I've been using Ossa and Great Lakes up until a couple of weeks ago, and tried MMingredients for the cheaper prices after running out and have had a horrible upset stomach after trying both their gelatine and collagen on two separate occasions. Save to say I've chucked both straight in the bin.

Could I have bought a bad batch or is this just a case of poorer quality with it not being grass fed etc?

Yes I'm using their gelatin and I have no problems with it.

Not sure it is true, but I read somewhere that eating grass fed is important mostly when you consume a lot of the animal fat, as the toxins are stored in the fat. Collagen and gelatin are made from connecting tissue.

Good to know - thanks. I do tend to eat a fair amount of animal fat. Shame it hasn't agreed with me.

I haven’t tried it yet but I bought the same recently from TK Maxx. I often have a look at their food section, mainly for coconut oil or olive oil. It was only £2.99.

I think I am going to use one of these two easy-looking recipes once I have found some good ideas for fillings.

What are you planning to fill your tortillas with? I think I will start with something simple like chicken or beef, cheese and tomatoes. I want it to be a hit with the kids!
I've made both recipes now. I've decided I don't need oil in the mixture.
I'm eating them instead of toast with eggs in the morning or as a pancake with sugar and lemon. I'm not very good at making them puff up yet though!

That’s great! I have made them too and am really pleased, twice now, using the second recipe without oil too. Delicious and easy to make. I found one needs a block of time to prepare and make them ... but they’re really worth it. They keep really well in the fridge and I also froze some which were just as tasty when eaten later. I filled them with scrambled eggs and cheese, beef and roasted tomatoes with cheese. Puffing up seemed to be quite random for me too but it did happen with some tortillas 😀 You’ve inspired me to try them with sugar and lemon! Sounds yum!
